ALZHEIMER'S
DISEASE
Alzheimer’s
disease is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain in which brain cells die ad are replaced. It results in impaired
memory, thinking and behavior, and inability to control body functions.
Alzheimer’s
disease is the fourth leading cause of adult death. It is one the most feared diseases because it not only inflicts suffering
in its victim but also on what it does to that victim’s family and friends. Both men and women are affected. Life span
depends on the individual progression with the disease, and age.
